Moheak Music Meeting, February 23

Last Thursday’s Moheak Music Meeting rated and debated important new releases. The program airs Thursdays 7-9p Pacific and 10-12p Eastern. This week’s guests were TV Producer Stephen Gelber (who also has a music blog), former WOXY Program Director Mike Taylor of The Big Beat Blog and now Moheak Radio, also Moheak DJ’s Lina Lecaro and Jean Luc Gaudry.

Artists getting the best reaction were Santigold, Nada Surf, The Ting Tings, The 2 Bears, Young Hines, The Cribs, La Sera, Heartless Bastards, The Couch, Gorillaz/James Murphy/Andre 3000, and Fidlar. Also played and enjoyed were new tracks by Radiohead, Amadou & Mariam, The Shins, Brandon Benson, Grimes, Maribel, and Yoofs.

Last Thursday’s Moheak Music Meeting rated and debated important new releases. The program airs Thursdays 7-9p Pacific and 10-12p EST. Guests were RCA A&R Exec Lindsey Cook, Festival and concert exec Phil Blaine of Insomniac, and Scott Perry of Sperry Media and the New Music Tipsheet.

We played Jack White, Fanfarlo, Alabama Shakes, Pickwick, Gotye, Howler, Phenomenal Handclap Band, M83, Dry the River, First Aid Kit, DJ Shadow/Little Dragon, Atlas Genius, and Foxy Shazam. The best ratings went to Jack White, Alabama Shakes, Dry the Run, M83, and DJ Shadow/Little Dragon.
